Shopify’s new customer account experience allows merchants to integrate external login systems using Shopify’s Identity Provider (IDP) functionality.
Currently, only Shopify Plus merchants can use custom IDP authentication.

How to Configure Lucent OTP Login as an IDP in Shopify
Follow these steps to enable OTP login on the new customer account page:
Step 1: Open Shopify Customer Account Settings
Go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Customer Accounts
Find the Customer Accounts section
Step 2: Manage Authentication Settings
Under Authentication, click on Manage
Step 3: Open Identity Provider Settings

Scroll to the Identity Provider section

Click Manage Provider
Step 4: Click “Connect Provider”
This will start the setup process for adding a custom authentication provider.
Step 5: Enter Configuration Details
Now open Lucent OTP Login & Notify in a new tab:
Go to Settings → OTP Section → Identity Provider
You will find all required configuration fields displayed there.
Copy the details from the Lucent app and paste them into Shopify:

Step 6: Test the OTP Connection
Once saved:

Click Test Connection

Shopify will attempt to authenticate using the Lucent OTP login method

If successful, your OTP login is now active on the new customer account page
Step 7: Activate the Identity Provider
Once the Test Connection is successful:
Click the Activate button
This will enable Lucent OTP Login as your active IDP on your Shopify store
After activation, your new customer account page will start using OTP-based authentication for login.
