Dekoni Audio: WooCommerce → Shopify
Dekoni Audio sells ear pads, cables, ear tips and care products for headphones and earbuds. We moved the store from WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify with its fit guidance, reviews and dealer information intact, and built a Pad Measurements tool that shows how each pad changes a headphone's sound. Revenue is up about 50%.
IN SHORT
- Dekoni Audio, a maker of headphone ear pads, cables and ear tips, moved from WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify with Lucent Commerce.
- The store's fit guidance, pad dimensions, install videos, related products, reviews, Dekoni University content and dealer information were migrated.
- We built a Pad Measurements tool where a shopper picks a headphone and compares how each pad changes its frequency response.
- Revenue grew about 50% after the move, and the client reports no downtime or security incidents since launch.
The challenge
Dekoni Audio does not sell headphones. It sells what goes on them: replacement ear pads, assembly cables, ear tips for earbuds such as the AirPods Pro, cases and care products such as cleaners and leather conditioner. A shopper has to be sure a part fits and sounds right before buying it, so the store carries far more than a product grid.
That content lived on WordPress, with WooCommerce for the shop. WordPress is a publishing platform, and the brand had to keep up with its security around the clock. The move to Shopify had to remove that burden without losing anything shoppers rely on: how a pad fits a headphone, the pad's dimensions, installation videos, related products, reviews, the Dekoni University content and the list of dealers.

How we approached it
- 01
Inventory what the store holds
We listed every kind of content the WordPress site held, from products and variants to fit notes, dimensions, videos, reviews and the university pages, and decided where each would live on Shopify.
- 02
Migrate the catalog and its guidance
We moved the products with the information that helps a shopper choose: whether a part fits, the pad measurements, install videos and the "you may also like" related products.
- 03
Carry over reviews and content
Reviews moved with their products, and Dekoni University and the dealer information were rebuilt on Shopify so shoppers could still find them.
- 04
Offer another route when a part does not fit
The store helps a shopper who cannot find a match, with a "find your pads" route and related products to look at next.
- 05
Build the Pad Measurements tool
We built a page where shoppers choose a headphone and compare how each pad changes its sound. The page is shared directly with customers at /pages/measurements.
- 06
Launch and keep optimizing
After launch we continued with conversion rate optimization, watching whether changes to the store raise revenue, since the store's data, videos and measurements all connect.
A tool that shows how a pad changes the sound
Choosing an ear pad is partly a question of sound, and a product photograph cannot answer it. The Pad Measurements page does. A shopper picks a headphone, then compares the pads available for it against a baseline, or against each other, on a graph of level in decibels across frequency.
The shopper controls the view: change against the baseline, the frequency response itself, or the same pad across headphones. They can smooth the curve, match the volume between pads and focus on bass, mids or treble. Each pad on the graph links to its product page, and the view can be shared as a link or saved as an image, so the page also works as content customers pass around. The tool also lets a shopper listen to the difference between pads.
The result
Revenue grew by about 50% after Dekoni Audio moved to Shopify. The client's own account is that the biggest change is stability: the store has had no downtime and no security incidents, and the team no longer has to maintain the WordPress security that had been a constant concern.
Conversion rate optimization continues alongside, with the store's fit data, videos and measurements all connected, to see what raises revenue next.
