BUILT FOR SHOPIFY · 4.7★ FROM 76 REVIEWS
Simply OTP Login & Notify replaces the password on a Shopify storefront with a one-time code sent by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and uses the same delivery channels to send order and abandoned-cart notifications. It is free to install, carries the Built for Shopify badge, and is rated 4.7 from 76 reviews on the Shopify App Store.
IN SHORT
A password is a thing your customer has forgotten. On a storefront where someone buys twice a year, the reset email is a bigger part of the login experience than the login is — and every step of that flow is somewhere the order can be abandoned.
This app removes it. The customer enters a phone number or an email, receives a one-time code by SMS, WhatsApp or email, and is in. Because the app already holds a verified phone number and a delivery channel, it also sends the transactional messages you would otherwise buy a second tool for: order status and abandoned cart.
The widget is placed and styled in the theme editor, and every code and notification is logged with a delivery report, which is the part that matters the first time a customer says they never got the message.
Free to install. The plan price does not cover the codes themselves — usage is charged separately on the default gateways.

The app is free to install; the codes are not. Model your OTP volume against your gateway rate before you compare plan prices.
A one-time code proves someone controls a phone number. It is not device fingerprinting, velocity checks or chargeback defence.
Shopify’s own customer accounts already do email one-time codes. If phone, WhatsApp, B2B approval and notifications are all irrelevant to you, use the native flow.
No — it sits on top of them. Shopify’s new customer accounts already use one-time codes by email; this app adds phone and WhatsApp as delivery channels, a widget you can place and style yourself, delivery logs, and the notification side. The customer record stays a Shopify customer record.
The plan price does not include the codes. Usage-based charges apply for OTP and notifications on the default services, and the free and paid plans all cover up to 100,000 customers with $5 per additional 100,000. If you already have an account with one of the supported gateways you can connect it and pay that provider directly instead.
Firebase, Infobip, MSG91, Gupshup, TrustSignal, Connect Saudi, MagtiCom and OTP Plus, across phone, email and WhatsApp. Bringing your own gateway is the usual reason to pick Premium, which adds sender ID and template customization.
Yes. There is an email opt-in checkbox you can add to the OTP login step. Treat it as consent capture with everything that implies — it needs to be unticked by default and recorded, the same as any other opt-in.
It carries Shopify’s Built for Shopify badge, which is assessed partly on performance and can be withdrawn. That is a stronger signal than anything we could claim ourselves, but it is not a substitute for checking your own Core Web Vitals after install — which is true of every app you add.

The B2B approval rules and the gateway integrations exist because merchants asked. If your login flow has a wrinkle the app does not cover, tell us what it is.
