A definition, a section setting and, only sometimes, a template. The decision that matters is whether the content deserves a URL of its own.
Most of your sessions are phones and most of your revenue probably is not. Some of that gap is measurement, some of it is intent, and a stubborn part of it is your theme.
Shopify already gives you segments, recommendations and the logged-in customer in Liquid. The wall is the anonymous first-time visitor, and most platforms are sold on the wrong side of it.
Peak data is the least representative data you will collect all year, and most of the conclusions drawn from it in January do not survive February.
Almost none of this is new work. An agent needs the same clean, complete, machine-readable product data your on-site search and your shopping feed have always needed.
Reviews do not raise your rankings. They change what your result looks like and what a shopper does next, and only if the markup is right and there is one copy of it.
Most stores emit structured data from three places at once and have never read any of it. The audit starts with an inventory of what is producing markup, not with a validator.
A variant has a schema.org type built for it, a bundle has one nobody reads, and a configurator has none. Knowing which of the three you are marking up decides everything else.
Most upsell apps add a script to every template to serve a widget on one. Shopify already ships the endpoints to do it without one.
Assistants do not remember your brand, they retrieve it. Two of the three things they retrieve are not on your site, and Google says there is no markup that changes this.
A gap analysis is a list of things somebody else decided to do. It is useful as a map of page types, useless as a plan, and your own Search Console already knows more.
